Yolanda Denise Brockman, RHIT has been in healthcare for 26 years. Yolanda's first job in HIM was in Ambulatory care assisting the Medical Records Director. From there Yolanda moved to Ohio. While in Ohio Yolanda worked as a Utilization Review support from 1998 - 2001. In 2002, Yolanda's next step in her career was back in SC as a HIM Director in LTC/Rehab. While still in this role presently she has had the flexibility to: teach at Greenville Technical College (2005), act as a student mentor (2006-present), as an Advisory Board Member at GTC and USC of the Upstate (2010-present), and as a Coding Quality Analyst remotely (2019-2020). 2005 SCHIMA Service Award. Yolanda Graduated from Greenville Technical College with an AAS Degree and has attended Western Governors University in pursuit of her Bachelor’s.
