Makema Massey, DHA (Candidate), MHL, RHIA, CCS, CMC, CPC, CRC, CPC-I, CPMA, is the Vice President of Finance Intelligence at Veuu and a dedicated leader in healthcare finance, revenue cycle, coding, and compliance. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Care Administration (DHA) at Capella University, where her research focuses on fraud prevention strategies in healthcare claim submissions and their impacts on the healthcare financial system.
With over 10 years of experience in medical coding, healthcare informatics, risk adjustment, and compliance, Massey has held key leadership roles, including Manager of Risk Coding at Optum and Professor of Healthcare Informatics at American National University. She is passionate about shaping the future of healthcare through education, technology, and ethical financial practices.
Her volunteer experience includes serving on the PCAP: CEE Professional Certificate Approval Program Review Team (2021–2023), the Hillsborough Community College Advisory Review Board (2019–2020), and supporting various charitable initiatives.
